Audit Intern – Summer 2027 (Indianapolis)

About the role

As an Audit Intern for PwC in Indianapolis, you will join the Assurance practice for the Summer 2027 term. The role offers hands‑on exposure to financial statement audits, allowing you to learn PwC’s methodologies and contribute to client engagements while developing a solid foundation in audit and accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in planning and executing financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in analyzing financial data and identifying trends for client decision‑making.
• Document audit procedures, findings, and work‑papers in an organized manner.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS principles to audit tasks and evaluate internal controls.
• Collaborate with team members to assess risk factors and suggest improvements.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before transitioning to full‑time.
• Strong interest in audit, assurance, and professional services.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
• Basic data analysis abilities.
