About the role

As an Audit Associate in PwC’s Assurance practice, you will take part in financial statement audits that support transparent and reliable financial reporting. The position is based in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and is scheduled for the Summer/Fall of 2027, offering you the chance to develop technical expertise while working with a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial statement audits in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
• Apply audit methodologies to evaluate financial documents and internal controls.
• Review and verify financial records for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Utilize data analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
• Monitor financial trends to support client decision‑making.
• Implement accounting and reporting standards to ensure consistency.
• Collaborate with team members to address audit findings and develop solutions.
• Document audit processes to improve efficiency.
• Maintain clear communication with client management and respond to inquiries.
• Participate in project management tasks to meet audit timelines.
• Leverage technical accounting skills to resolve complex reporting issues.
• Validate data quality and security for sensitive financial information.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before starting full‑time.
• In the final academic year or having completed required coursework for the role.
