Audit Associate – Summer/Fall 2027 in Grand Rapids

About the role

As an Audit Associate in PwC’s Assurance practice, you will support financial statement audits for clients in Grand Rapids, contributing to transparent and reliable financial reporting. This summer/fall 2027 position offers hands‑on experience, exposure to senior staff, and the opportunity to develop technical accounting expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial statement audits in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
• Apply audit methodologies to evaluate financial documents and internal controls.
• Review and verify financial records for accuracy and compliance with policies and regulations.
• Perform data analysis to identify financial trends and provide insights.
• Collaborate with team members to address audit findings and develop solutions.
• Document audit processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Maintain clear communication with client management and respond to inquiries.
• Support project management tasks to meet audit timelines and deliverables.
• Resolve complex financial reporting issues using technical accounting knowledge.
• Validate data quality and security to protect sensitive information.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before starting full‑time.
• Final academic year or recent graduate ready for an entry‑level associate role.
