Audit Associate – New Orleans

About the role

Join Carr, Riggs & Ingram as an Audit Associate in New Orleans, where you will support audit engagements for a variety of clients while developing your professional skills in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain an understanding of each client’s business, industry, and internal systems.
• Perform substantive and analytical audit procedures in assigned areas.
• Prepare detailed working papers that document tests performed and conclusions reached.
• Apply accounting principles consistently while assisting in the preparation of financial statements and footnotes.
• Identify and document control deficiencies or other matters requiring management attention.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in a public accounting firm (including busy‑season work).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and eligibility to sit for the CPA exam.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Authorization to work in the United States without future visa sponsorship.

• Knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards.
