Audiologist – Surgical Specialties Service Line

About the role

The Audiologist will provide comprehensive hearing and balance care for patients within the Surgical Specialties Service Line, utilizing advanced diagnostic technologies and treatment options.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and interpret complete balance evaluations using Videonystagmography (VNG) and Computerized Dynamic Posturography (CDP).
• Perform diagnostic hearing assessments, including tympanometry, acoustic reflex testing, air‑ and bone‑conduction thresholds, and specialized speech tests.
• Evaluate cochlear implant candidacy using aided thresholds, AZ Bio sentence tests, and CNC word tests in soundfield.
• Plan and coordinate hearing rehabilitation, including selection, fitting, and verification of hearing aids, cochlear implants, bone‑anchored devices, and assistive listening systems.
• Document patient encounters accurately, provide education, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) with current BLS certification.
• Arkansas state license in Audiology and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑A).
• Experience working with adult patients in a hospital or otolaryngology setting preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain professionalism under stress, and deliver superior patient service.
