Audio Visual Installation Technician

About the role

PEAKE is seeking a self‑motivated Audio Visual Installation Technician to support critical government infrastructure at Fort Gordon, GA. The role is field‑facing, focusing on hands‑on installation, testing, and validation of network and AV systems for live and recorded events.

Key responsibilities

• Install CAT6 and fiber‑optic structured cabling, including pulling, fire‑stopping, dressing, and labeling to industry standards.
• Terminate Ethernet and fiber connections, install closet hardware, backboards, racks, patch panels, and fiber enclosures.
• Test fiber links using Fluke and OTDR equipment, troubleshoot and resolve fiber issues.
• Configure workstations, perform network troubleshooting, and verify connections meet mission standards.
• Set up, operate, maintain, and dismantle AV equipment such as microphones, speakers, mixers, cameras, monitors, and servers.
• Install, program, and support Crestron, Extron, and AMX control systems, including touch panels, DSPs, and switchers.
• Route and terminate AV signal cabling, verify signal flow, and ensure audio/video quality.

Required profile

• Active DoD Secret clearance preferred; sponsorship available for qualified candidates.
• Ability to work independently on a government installation and adhere to DISA procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality validation.
