Attorney – Global Payments Solutions

About the role

Bank of America is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Global Payments Solutions (GPS) team. The role provides legal counsel on a wide range of payment‑related products and services, supporting business growth while managing regulatory risk.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support for GPS products including payments, merchant services, commercial cards, deposits, liquidity management, receivables and trade finance.
• Review, draft and negotiate customer‑facing documentation and commercial agreements.
• Interpret applicable laws, regulations and industry developments and communicate actionable guidance to internal partners.
• Direct the work of outside counsel and other legal staff on relevant matters.
• Conduct legal research and risk‑based analysis to facilitate innovation and compliance.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree and active bar admission.
• Significant experience advising on payments, financial services or related regulatory matters.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to business stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage external counsel and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
