A&T Technician III – 2nd Shift

About the role

Moog is seeking an Assembly & Test (A&T) Technician III for its 2nd‑shift team in Niagara Falls, NY. The technician will perform mechanical and electrical testing, assemble cable harnesses, and troubleshoot equipment in both shop and laboratory settings.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct water‑flow, pressure, leak, electrical, and flushing/cleanliness tests.
• Assemble cables, harnesses, crimp, solder, weld, and install connectors.
• Use portable instruments to troubleshoot and repair test systems.
• Operate gauges, transducers, flow meters, force systems, data‑acquisition equipment, mechanical measuring tools, and torque wrenches.
• Read and follow mechanical drawings and controlled documentation.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment; work safely with electricity, chemicals, gases, and cryogenic fluids.
• Perform duties in a shop and laboratory environment, lifting up to 50 lb as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (preferred) with ability to follow verbal, written, and computer instructions in English.
• Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Minimum three years of relevant assembly and test experience.

Required skills

• Water‑flow, pressure, leak, and electrical testing.
• Cable assembly, harnessing, crimping, soldering, welding, connector installation.
• Portable instrument troubleshooting.
• Operation of gauges, transducers, flow meters, force systems, data‑acquisition and mechanical measuring equipment.
• Reading mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of mechanical/electro‑mechanical component fabrication and repair.
• Understanding of electricity, chemicals, gases, and cryogenic fluid safety.
• Maintenance and calibration of test equipment.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ability to meet full‑physical requirements.
