About the role
Moog is seeking an A&T Technician I to join the Military Aircraft Group on a 2nd‑shift, onsite schedule in East Aurora, NY. The role focuses on precision assembly and testing of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical components.
Key responsibilities
- Perform precision assembly of valves, actuators, and related systems using mechanical measuring tools.
- Conduct hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic tests with specialized test equipment and fixtures.
- Maintain dimensional accuracy using torque wrenches, gauges, and calibrated fixtures.
- Interpret assembly drawings, worksheets, parts lists, and test specifications.
- Diagnose test failures, execute rework, and ensure units meet test criteria.
- Clean components to required cleanliness levels and may work on repair units.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on productivity and quality.
Required profile
- High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a related technical field.
- Eligibility to enroll in the FAA Drug & Alcohol Program for safety‑sensitive work.
- Willingness to work the 2nd‑shift onsite schedule.
Required skills
- Use of dial indicators, calipers, and micrometers.
- Operation of torque wrenches, fixtures, and gauging tools.
- Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic test equipment proficiency.
- Reading and interpreting assembly drawings and test specifications.
- Basic math and troubleshooting abilities.
