A&T Engineering Technician – 1st/2nd Shift

About the role

Moog’s Space and Defense Group is seeking an Assembly & Test (A&T) Engineering Technician to work on a complex product line in Buffalo, NY. The role supports both 1st and 2nd shift operations, providing hands‑on hydraulic testing, assembly, and engineering support.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hydraulic test development and assembly activities (40‑50% of time) to meet department requirements and turnaround times.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Assembly & Test personnel, offering technical guidance and troubleshooting.
• Lead product and process improvement projects and conduct failure investigations.
• Generate clear production instructions, formal work instructions, and Electronic Historical Record (EHR) entries.
• Evaluate and implement equipment, fixtures, tools, and test systems to support production flow.
• Interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions to ensure accurate assembly.
• Work occasional additional hours to meet program goals and product demand.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (preferred) with demonstrated ability to follow written and computer work instructions in English.
• At least 5 years of relevant Assembly & Test experience.
• Accredited technical degree preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
