Associate Tax Advisor

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Tax Advisor with deep expertise in individual taxation and Form 1040. The successful candidate will work closely with clients and our wealth‑management team to deliver high‑quality tax compliance and proactive planning throughout the year.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns, focusing on Form 1040 and supporting schedules.
• Trace information flow through returns, identify inconsistencies, and highlight planning opportunities.
• Analyze prior‑year and current‑year returns to spot trends, exposures, and tax‑saving strategies.
• Collaborate with wealth advisors to integrate tax considerations into broader financial plans.
• Communicate tax matters clearly to clients and answer their questions promptly.
• Develop tax projections and support year‑round tax‑planning initiatives.
• Research and apply federal, state, and local tax laws to client situations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support quality‑control processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• CPA, EA, or progress toward a relevant professional designation (preferred).
• At least 3 years of substantive individual tax experience, including complex Form 1040 work.

Required skills

• Expert working knowledge of Form 1040 and its supporting schedules.
