Associate Surgical Account Manager – Arizona

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking an Associate Surgical Account Manager or Surgical Account Manager to drive growth of the Impella product portfolio across Arizona. This field‑based position will work closely with cardiac surgeons, heart failure cardiologists and multidisciplinary heart teams.

Key responsibilities

• Gain distribution and utilization of the Impella 5.5 device and manage EXCEL sites for new surgery, heart failure and ECMO technologies.
• Collaborate with regional sales and clinical teams to achieve quarterly growth targets.
• Engage key stakeholders at major conferences (HFSA, AHA, STS, AATS, ISHLT) and local symposiums.
• Build and expand the surgical vertical within established Impella programs.

Required profile

• Minimum 10+ years of cardiac surgery or combined cardiology medical device sales experience for the Surgical Account Manager level (5+ years for Associate level).
• Proven track record of selling in the operating room and leading teams to meet quotas.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac surgery, structural heart anatomy and established relationships with cardiac surgeons.
• Willingness to travel 50‑75% overnight.
