Associate Software Engineer – Supply Chain Data & Tech

About the role

Alcon is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join its Supply Chain Analytics team in Fort Worth. You will design, build, and maintain data solutions that enable efficient supply‑chain decision‑making and support the company’s mission of improving global eye health.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain ETL workflows using Alteryx, Looker, AWS Glue and other integration platforms.
• Extract, transform and load data from multiple sources to create robust pipelines for analytics.
• Write and optimise complex SQL queries against data lakes, enterprise databases and data warehouses.
• Develop Python scripts (pandas, NumPy) for data cleaning, transformation and automated reporting.
• Build interactive dashboards and visualisations with Tableau or Power BI.
• Apply statistical analysis and machine‑learning techniques to forecast demand, optimise inventory and improve logistics.
• Collaborate with supply‑chain business partners to translate analytical needs into technical solutions.
• Develop predictive models, conduct A/B testing and perform model evaluation (cross‑validation, hyper‑parameter tuning).
• Participate in code reviews, documentation and ensure data quality while adhering to GxP regulations.

Required profile

• Experience designing and maintaining ETL workflows and data pipelines.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate business requirements into technical implementations.
• Familiarity with GxP compliance, SOPs and rigorous documentation practices.
