Associate or Full Professor (Research Track) – Neonatology

About the role

The Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, in partnership with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, seeks outstanding candidates for Associate or Full Professor positions on the non‑tenure research track in Neonatology. These faculty members will advance the Division’s mission through high‑impact research and education.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct independent or collaborative basic laboratory research in neonatology, developmental or molecular medicine.
• Maintain a national (Associate) or international (Full) reputation for scientific excellence, demonstrated by a strong publication record.
• Mentor postdoctoral fellows and clinical fellows, providing guidance on research projects and career development.
• Deliver formal lectures and educational sessions within the Division of Neonatology and the Department of Pediatrics.

Required profile

• MD or MD/PhD degree.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal‑Perinatal Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics or Internal Medicine.
• Evidence of high‑quality research with publications in relevant fields.
• For Full Professor rank, documented international recognition for scientific contributions.
