Associate Investment Manager & Legal Counsel

About the role

Omni Bridgeway is seeking an Associate Investment Manager who will also serve as Legal Counsel. Based in Houston, the successful candidate will evaluate and manage funding opportunities for litigation finance, providing legal expertise throughout the investment lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct due‑diligence on prospective funding opportunities, analysing financial and legal aspects and liaising with claimants and counsel.
• Assist Investment Managers in drafting and negotiating term sheets.
• Prepare and present recommendations to the Investment Committee on funding suitability.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients and lawyers, monitor case progress, and manage litigation fees and expenses.
• Research legal, strategic and market issues related to litigation finance.
• Produce submissions, articles, blogs and presentations on litigation‑finance topics and support business‑development activities.

Required profile

• J.D. degree with at least six years of litigation experience.
• Superior academic credentials.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work under tight timelines and balance competing priorities.

Required skills

• Due‑diligence assessment of legal and financial matters.

• Presentation of investment recommendations to senior committees.
