Associate Installation Technician - Wisconsin

About the role

Stryker is hiring an Associate Installation Technician in Wisconsin (Milwaukee area) for a field-based position. The technician installs, tests and inspects surgical light suspensions, surgical booms, video integration systems and other ancillary equipment such as room cameras and video monitors. The role requires 100% overnight travel, Monday to Friday, with travel, lodging and meals paid under the Stryker Corporate Travel Policy.

Key responsibilities

• Confirm site readiness and perform a detailed inventory of installable equipment, then coordinate with the project team and contractors to resolve issues.
• Install surgical light suspension systems, surgical booms, video integration systems and cabling, and ancillary equipment, to quality and safety standards and applicable regulations.
• Program, test and inspect video integration sources, and carry out functional and quality checks before project sign-off.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures, diagnose and repair them, and document installation records and daily reports.
• Install according to wire diagrams and CAD drawings, and coordinate with electricians, plumbers, general contractors and hospital staff.
• Learn basic IP and computer networking requirements for Stryker integration products, and book your own travel and manage your schedule.
• Maintain tool inventory, respond to customer requests for service, give basic operational training, and share lessons learned with partners.

Required profile

• 0-2 years of related technical experience (telecom, video/audio installation, electrical/construction, medical devices, hospital biomedical).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, climb ladders, work in confined spaces and above ceilings, and drive a vehicle with a state license.
• Team player able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with critical thinking and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read and follow detailed installation instructions and technical manuals.
