About the role
The Associate Indirect Tax Analyst will support RRD’s tax function by preparing state and local sales/use tax returns, conducting research, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. This role involves routine tax analysis, reporting, and collaboration with internal teams to maintain accurate tax records.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and file state, local, and provincial sales/use tax returns, property tax, business licenses, and related filings.
- Conduct tax compliance activities, support tax‑planning projects, and verify the accuracy of tax accrual accounts.
- Maintain documentation for exempt customers and miscellaneous invoice charges to prevent audit exposure.
- Assist in the collection and payment of sales/use taxes through various tax programs.
- Process sales tax refund claims and support Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance.
- Participate in state and local tax audits and develop knowledge of evolving tax laws.
- Identify tax issues, provide recommendations, and support internal stakeholders.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
- At least one year of accounting experience; internship experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical abilities to evaluate complex tax problems and develop solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks under moderate supervision.
