Associate Electrical Engineer / Electronic Design Engineer

About the role

Moog is looking for an Associate Electrical Engineer / Electronic Design Engineer to join its Space and Defense Group in Phoenix, AZ. This entry‑level position offers the chance to work on high‑performance, space‑rated avionics hardware and to develop both analog and digital designs in a collaborative, high‑trust environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design analog and high‑speed digital circuits, including schematic capture and PCB layout specifications.
• Collaborate across mechanical, software, and systems teams to define product requirements and deliver technical presentations.
• Use modeling and simulation tools to validate circuits and reduce design risk.
• Document designs, analyses, and test results in clear technical reports.
• Perform hands‑on troubleshooting, board bring‑up, and cross‑disciplinary testing using lab instrumentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of basic electrical principles, digital logic, analog circuits, and power circuits.
• Experience with board design, schematic creation, and digital simulation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to produce technical documentation.
• Organized, problem‑solving mindset with a willingness to learn space‑grade electronics.
