About the role

The Associate Director of Web & Digital Strategy provides strategic leadership and hands‑on management of Prairie View A&M University’s web ecosystem. Reporting to the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, this senior role shapes the university’s digital presence, ensuring it aligns with institutional goals and delivers a high‑quality user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a university‑wide web governance framework, including policies, standards, workflows and content‑management procedures.
• Oversee website architecture, user experience, accessibility, security, performance optimization and platform administration.
• Manage WordPress sites, plugins, system integrations and resolve technical issues.
• Supervise web and information design staff and coordinate with campus stakeholders.
• Promote sustainable governance processes, accessibility compliance and continuous improvement across the digital ecosystem.

Required profile

• Proven strategic leadership experience in large‑scale web environments.
• Hands‑on management ability with a focus on execution and problem solving.
• Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with institutional stakeholders.
