Associate Director – National Security Leadership Program

About the role

The Bush School of Government and Public Service is seeking an Associate Director to support the Director of the National Security Leadership Program. This senior position will help shape and deliver premier leadership education for the next generation of U.S. Space Force guardians.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational oversight and strategic direction for the Captain’s Leadership Course.
• Manage instructors, coordinate curriculum execution, and drive continuous improvement.
• Serve as a trusted partner to military stakeholders and senior academic leaders.
• Ensure alignment with university, government, and mission requirements.
• Cultivate client relationships and support program growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least eight years of experience in leadership development, program administration, or related areas.
• Demonstrated ability to work with senior military officers and academic faculty.
• Strong strategic planning, risk management, and organizational stewardship skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% and work beyond normal hours as needed.
