Associate Director, Employer Development & Relations

About the role

The Louisiana State University Olinde Career Center is seeking an Associate Director to lead employer development and relations. Reporting to the Senior Director, this senior professional will shape the university’s employer outreach strategy and enhance career opportunities for students.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Employer Development and Relations team to identify, cultivate, and evaluate employer partnerships.
• Supervise the Manager of Events, Manager of Employer Development, and On‑Campus Recruiting Coordinator.
• Develop and execute strategies to increase part‑time jobs, internships, co‑ops, and full‑time positions for students.
• Assess industry gaps and create outreach frameworks that drive measurable growth in opportunities.
• Adapt employer engagement approaches to evolving early‑talent recruiting trends.
• Promote LSU as a premier source of early talent to employers.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in employer relations or career services.
• Strong understanding of higher‑education talent pipelines.
• Ability to evaluate and expand employer networks strategically.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
