Associate Director, Communications

About the role

Wachsman is seeking an Associate Director, Communications to lead strategic PR initiatives for high‑growth technology clients. The role is remote initially, moving to a hybrid model as the team settles into a regular office rhythm.

Key responsibilities

• Translate client business objectives into compelling PR strategies and messaging.
• Guide the creation, editing, and quality standards of press materials, client messaging, and strategic communication plans.
• Provide strategic counsel to technically sophisticated clients and oversee execution of high‑impact PR campaigns.
• Lead branding, reputation management, and global media‑relations efforts, including crisis communications.
• Develop and maintain relationships with influential media outlets to secure coverage and manage high‑value media opportunities.
• Conduct client meetings, new‑business pitches, and lead internal training and external strategy workshops.

Required profile

• 7‑9 years of recent experience in a PR agency environment.
• Proven ability to advise ambitious, technically complex clients.
• Strong track record of delivering successful PR campaigns and crisis communications.
