Associate Dean for Student Affairs (College of Nursing)

About the role

The Associate Dean for Student Affairs will provide strategic leadership for student services within the College of Nursing. Reporting to senior university administration, this role shapes policies, programs, and initiatives that enhance the student experience and support academic success.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee student affairs policies, programs, and services for the College of Nursing.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and university leaders to align student support initiatives with academic goals.
• Manage budgets, resources, and staffing for student affairs functions.
• Ensure compliance with university, state, and accreditation standards.
• Lead efforts to improve student retention, engagement, and overall well‑being.
• Represent the College of Nursing in university‑wide committees and external partnerships.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (master’s or doctoral) in nursing, education, or a related field.
• Significant experience in higher‑education administration, preferably in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement student‑focused programs.
• Strong knowledge of nursing education standards and accreditation requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
