Associate Customer Engineer – Network

About the role

We are seeking a motivated new‑graduate to join Nexthop AI’s Customer Engineering team in Bellevue, WA. As an Associate Customer Engineer – Network you will work at the intersection of cutting‑edge networking and AI‑scale infrastructure, helping our hyperscaler partners design, test and deploy high‑performance network solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise scalable network architectures in both lab and production environments.
• Configure, troubleshoot and maintain routing, switching and data‑center technologies.
• Develop automation scripts for configuration, monitoring and diagnostics using Python or Bash.
• Collaborate directly with hyperscaler engineering teams, conducting real‑time technical syncs, code reviews and project scoping in Mandarin and English.
• Support customers through proof‑of‑concept trials, early deployments and production escalation.
• Document solutions and present technical findings to internal engineering peers and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a graduate‑level program in network engineering, computer science, computer engineering or a related field with strong lab‑based experience.
• Full professional fluency in Mandarin and English (written and verbal).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• TCP/IP, routing protocols, switching technologies and network security concepts.
• Python and Bash scripting.
• Linux system administration (nice‑to‑have).
• Familiarity with SDN platforms and network automation (nice‑to‑have).
