Associate Corporate Counsel

About the role

Hibu is seeking an experienced attorney to join its legal team as an Associate Corporate Counsel. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will work in a hybrid environment, splitting time between the office and remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements across multiple business units, collaborating with Procurement.
• Provide employment law guidance for multi‑jurisdictional issues, including hiring, performance, terminations, and wage‑and‑hour matters.
• Manage litigation and claims, including pleadings, discovery, document production, and coordination with outside counsel.
• Advise on intellectual property protection, licensing, and trademark matters.
• Support data privacy and security compliance, covering CCPA, TCPA, CAN‑SPAM, HIPAA, and emerging regulations.
• Interpret and apply federal and state advertising, competition, and trade practice laws.

Required profile

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in your state of residence.
• 4‑6 years of experience in a law firm or in‑house corporate legal department.
• Excellent communication, analytical, drafting, and time‑management skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10‑15 days per year.
