Associate Buyer

About the role

The Buying department at The Guess?, Inc. is looking for an Associate Buyer to support product strategy and assortment planning. This entry‑level position offers exposure to senior leadership and hands‑on experience with fashion trends, inventory management, and financial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze product trends and historical data to support seasonal strategies.
• Assist in creating, updating, and distributing assortment sheets to business partners.
• Participate in pre‑season, line edit, and senior management review meetings.
• Review sales performance, identify trends, and contribute to forecast and OTB discussions.
• Visit stores to gather customer and associate feedback for product evaluation.
• Conduct competitive analysis of direct competitors and inspirational stores.
• Collaborate in cross‑functional meetings with Buying, Planning, I/C, and Distribution teams.
• Provide on‑the‑job training and feedback to peers and Assistant Buyers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience or strong academic background in fashion, retail, or related fields.
• Ability to balance analytical and creative thinking.
• Passion for fashion trends and product merchandising.
