Associate, Business Development

About the role

26North is seeking an entrepreneurial, analytical, and intellectually curious Associate to join its Business Development team in New York. The role supports investor relations and capital formation across the firm’s multi‑asset platform, working closely with both business development and investment teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inquiries from existing and prospective private‑fund investors, including RFIs, RFPs, DDQs, NDAs, and ad‑hoc requests.
• Coordinate and disseminate investor‑relations and business‑development materials such as communications, updates, reporting, presentations, offering memoranda, case studies, legal documents, and fact sheets.
• Prepare internal communications, including investment‑committee memoranda and investor updates.
• Develop internal and external presentation materials to support research and strategic recommendations.
• Create and maintain competitor‑intelligence profiles and competitive landscapes.
• Partner with peers to identify best practices and ensure consistency of investor‑relations materials.
• Support strategy and investment teams on day‑to‑day responsibilities and ad‑hoc projects that drive platform growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in business development or investor relations at an alternative asset‑management firm.
• Highly motivated work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proactive, initiative‑taking attitude with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
