Associate Attorney – Environmental Law

About the role

Lippes Mathias is seeking an ambitious mid‑ to senior‑level attorney with at least five years of experience to join its Environment and Energy Practice and Insurance Recovery, Counseling & Litigation teams in the Clarence office. The associate will work on nationwide environmental and insurance matters, advising and representing corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide counsel on environmental compliance, permitting, and litigation matters.
• Handle energy‑related regulatory issues and transactions.
• Manage insurance recovery and related litigation for clients across the United States.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and cross‑practice teams to develop case strategies.
• Participate in business development and client relationship building.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental, energy, or insurance law.
• Strong analytical and research abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
