Assistant/Associate Professor – 4-H Experiential Education

About the role

The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor to lead 4-H Experiential Education across the state. This non‑tenure, fixed‑term faculty position focuses on developing, implementing, and evaluating experiential learning programs for Arkansas youth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate statewide experiential education programs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to set content, priorities, and emphasis for 4‑H programming.
• Identify opportunities where extension activities can enhance youth experiential learning.
• Educate Division of Agriculture staff at state and local levels on experiential education practices.
• Design and support educational activities using direct and indirect instructional methods.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in education, agriculture extension, youth development, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in experiential education or extension programming.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse partners and communicate program impact.
• Commitment to serving Arkansas youth and supporting statewide initiatives.
