Assistant/Associate Extension Agent – 4-H Youth Development

About the role
The LSU AgCenter is seeking an Assistant or Associate Extension Agent to lead the 4-H Youth Development program for Caddo Parish. This faculty position will support youth leadership, community service learning, and partnership with schools across the parish.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the parish‑wide 4‑H youth development program.
- Build and maintain relationships with adult volunteers, the 4‑H Advisory Committee, schools, and community organizations.
- Develop and deliver life‑skills educational content that is engaging and relevant.
- Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects and provide service to schools beyond 4‑H programming.
- Create presentations, posters, and web‑based educational materials.
Required profile
- Demonstrated ability to work with culturally, ethnically, and socio‑economically diverse audiences.
- Strong relationship‑building skills with volunteers, advisory committees, and community partners.
- Commitment to youth leadership development and agricultural education.
