Assistant Volleyball Coach

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff is seeking an Assistant Volleyball Coach to support the men’s and women’s volleyball programs. This full‑time, on‑site position works closely with the Head Coach to develop student‑athletes, plan practices, and contribute to the competitive success of the teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting daily practice sessions and conditioning programs.
• Support game‑day operations, including scouting, strategy, and in‑match adjustments.
• Help recruit prospective student‑athletes and coordinate campus visits.
• Monitor academic progress of athletes and ensure compliance with university and NCAA regulations.
• Maintain equipment, facilities, and travel logistics for the volleyball teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in sports management, physical education, or a related field.
• Prior experience coaching volleyball at the high school, collegiate, or club level.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Commitment to student development and academic success.

Required skills

• Knowledge of volleyball techniques, tactics, and training methodologies.
• Ability to evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback.
