Assistant Vice President – Transportation, Parking & Mobility

About the role

The University of Houston seeks an Assistant Vice President to lead its Transportation, Parking & Mobility Services. This senior on‑site position directs a complex, customer‑focused operation that supports nearly 49,000 students, faculty, staff and visitors on a vibrant urban campus.

Key responsibilities

• Set strategic direction and oversee financial stewardship of a $28.2 million transportation and parking enterprise.
• Manage more than 25,000 parking spaces across six garages, surface lots and specialized facilities.
• Lead a team of 15 professionals, including five direct reports, to ensure safe, efficient mobility services.
• Develop and implement pricing strategies, financial models and supply‑and‑demand analyses for parking assets.
• Coordinate a robust campus transportation network that meets evolving mobility needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, public administration, urban planning, transportation or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum ten years of relevant professional experience with at least ten years in progressively responsible leadership roles.
• Proven experience managing large, complex parking or transportation operations.
