Assistant Vice President – Nurse Expert Services

About the role

The Assistant Vice President, Nurse Expert Services will lead technical investigations and provide expert testimony on nursing standards of care. This senior position combines clinical expertise with business development to support litigation, consulting, and advisory projects across acute, outpatient, home health, and extended‑care settings.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical investigations, analyses, and reports for litigation involving nursing standards of care.
• Specialize in nursing quality, training, education, and wound‑care practices across multiple care settings.
• Provide merit reviews and consulting services for plaintiff and defense firms, as well as insurance claim adjusters.
• Produce clear, concise, and professionally written reports and testimony.
• Manage large and medically complex case files while meeting strict deadlines.
• Obtain and analyze research data to support critical thinking and case strategy.
• Develop short‑ and long‑term business development strategies for converging markets.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Nursing (or associate degree plus bachelor’s degree) with an active, non‑restrictive RN license.
• Minimum 10 years of wound‑care experience.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building teams and growing a business.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written communication, research, and critical‑thinking skills.
• Highly motivated, self‑reliant, and meticulous in organization and time management.
