Assistant Swimming & Diving Coach (NCAA Division I)

About the role

The Georgetown University men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs are seeking an Assistant Coach to support the Head Coach in all aspects of athlete development, recruitment, and program compliance at the NCAA Division I level.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, evaluating, and signing prospective student‑athletes.
• Plan and conduct daily practices, meet preparations, skill sessions, and video analysis.
• Oversee weight training and fitness programs for swimmers and divers.
• Monitor academic performance and provide counseling on academic and personal matters.
• Ensure compliance with Georgetown, BIG EAST, and NCAA regulations.
• Represent the university at donor, alumni, and community events.

Required profile

• Experience coaching swimming and/or diving at the collegiate level.
• Strong understanding of NCAA Division I rules and compliance requirements.
• Ability to evaluate athletic and academic potential of recruits.
• Commitment to Georgetown’s educational mission and athletic philosophy.
