Assistant Superintendent - Multifamily Construction

About the role

The Assistant Superintendent will support the successful execution of multifamily construction projects, ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards. This hands‑on role involves daily site walks, coordination with subcontractors, and close collaboration with the project management team.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all construction activities for the entire project.
• Maintain and update the project schedule, addressing any deviations.
• Identify potential issues, propose realistic solutions, and communicate them to the Project Management Team.
• Inspect contracted work for compliance with contracts and local regulations.
• Schedule and manage municipal inspections and utility coordination.
• Work with engineers and managers to reserve materials and schedule deliveries.
• Promote site safety, address hazards immediately, and mentor others toward an injury‑free environment.
• Prepare and submit daily reports covering weather, manpower, progress, and any conditions affecting the project.
