Assistant Superintendent - Mission Critical

About the role

Alston Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for a mission‑critical project in Jackson, MS. You will lead on‑site personnel and subcontractors, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and oversee daily on‑site activities to meet project goals.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of project plans, specifications, contracts, submittals, and as‑built drawings.
• Coordinate subcontractors to align with the project schedule and avoid additional costs.
• Monitor subcontractor performance for compliance with construction codes, safety rules, and quality standards.
• Manage project set‑up, including trailers, equipment, signage, PPE, and other site requirements.
• Prepare accurate daily reports, safety logs, equipment rentals, and cost coding.
• Guide the project through close‑out, ensuring proper punch‑list completion and documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in on‑site construction supervision.
• Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and drawings.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
