Assistant Superintendent – Construction

About the role

The Assistant Superintendent supports the Superintendent and Project Manager in delivering high‑quality construction projects on time, safely, and within budget. This field‑leadership position offers a clear path to a lead Superintendent role for a motivated professional.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily site operations and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors, schedule deliveries, and monitor progress against the CPM schedule.
• Assist in reviewing plans, specifications, and building codes to verify correct implementation.
• Prepare daily reports, track labor and material usage, and communicate status to the project team.
• Support problem‑solving on‑site and take initiative to keep the project on schedule.

Required profile

• 5+ years of construction experience in a field leadership or supervisory role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, building systems, and applicable codes.
• Experience with CPM scheduling and project coordination.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules as project demands require.
• Leadership mindset with a proactive approach to team success.

Required skills

• CPM scheduling (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
• Construction management software (e.g., Procore, similar platforms).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
