Assistant Stunt and Cheer Coach

About the role

The University of Texas A&M–Kingsville seeks an Assistant Stunt and Cheer Coach to support the development and competitive success of its Stunt and Cheer programs. Working closely with the head coach, you will help train student‑athletes, manage day‑to‑day operations, and promote academic and personal growth.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting practices, conditioning sessions, and skill‑development drills for stunt and cheer athletes.
• Provide instruction on game‑day routines, tumbling, pyramids, jumps, and choreography.
• Support recruitment efforts, including identifying prospective student‑athletes and coordinating campus visits.
• Manage team logistics such as travel arrangements, scheduling, and equipment inventory.
• Monitor student‑athlete progress, offering mentorship and ensuring compliance with university, conference, and NCAA regulations.
• Foster a positive team culture emphasizing leadership, accountability, and sportsmanship.

Required profile

• Demonstrated passion for collegiate stunt and cheer programs.
• Ability to mentor student‑athletes academically and personally.
• Knowledge of NCAA compliance standards and university athletic policies.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
