Assistant Studio Manager

About the role

We are seeking a warm, dependable Assistant Studio Manager to keep our weekends running smoothly at Musicians Playground, Boston’s first "gym for musicians." Working directly with the Studio Manager, you will be the friendly face that welcomes members, supports lessons and events, and ensures the studio environment is clean and organized.

Key responsibilities

• Greet members and guests, provide tours, and answer questions to create a welcoming weekend experience.
• Open and close the studio on Saturday and Sunday, following checklists and safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and inventory of instruments and supplies; flag items needing repair or restocking.
• Set up and reset rooms between lessons, classes, and events.
• Support instructors and the Studio Manager to ensure lessons and classes run on time.
• Communicate any weekend occurrences to ownership and weekday staff.
• Assist with occasional studio events and member activities outside regular hours.

Required profile

• Warm, personable, and energized by making people feel welcome.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to own weekend responsibilities.
• Organized with strong attention to detail and good judgment.
• Clear communicator who follows through on tasks.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Customer‑facing experience in fitness, hospitality, retail, wellness, or similar is a plus.
• Passionate about music, the arts, or personal growth.
