Assistant Store Manager – NYC Pop‑Up

About the role

This temporary position supports the Store Manager of the Beyond Yoga pop‑up in New York City from August through January. You will help ensure smooth daily operations, drive sales performance, and foster an engaging, inclusive environment for both customers and team members.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily store procedures, including opening and closing, cash handling, payroll, and inventory control.
• Assist the Store Manager in meeting sales targets and financial goals, focusing on conversion, units per transaction, and sales per hour.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and retention efforts, reinforcing Beyond Yoga’s core values and product knowledge.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and recommend adaptations as needed.
• Manage inventory processes such as receiving, transfers, price changes, RTVs, and markdowns.
• Address customer concerns promptly and positively.
• Coach and develop associates, handling minor performance issues and promoting a diverse, inclusive workplace.
