Assistant Store Manager

About the role
Join TJ Maxx as an Assistant Store Manager and help create memorable shopping experiences for customers. You will work closely with the Store Manager to drive performance, develop talent, and maintain a safe, efficient store environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support sales results, manage expenses, and oversee merchandising, back‑room, frontline, cash office, and customer service operations.
- Lead loss‑prevention initiatives, minimize shrink and damages, and improve store layout and efficiency.
- Recruit, train, and mentor associates, fostering an inclusive and supportive culture.
- Implement action plans for company initiatives, projects, and store changes.
- Coordinate scheduling, shipping, receiving, and markdown processes.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of retail leadership experience as an Assistant or Store Manager.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and empower a large team.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with a focus on feedback and mentorship.
- Knowledge of store operations, health and safety, and loss‑prevention practices.
