About the role

The Assistant Bakery Operations Manager (ABOM) supports the Bakery Operations Manager (BOM) in running a high‑volume bakery location. This pipeline role blends hands‑on operational execution with talent development, giving you the chance to lead a team, manage inventory, and ensure product quality while preparing for future BOM responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute core bakery operations: inventory rotation, scheduling support, staffing coordination, and administrative checklists.
• Maintain product quality, cleanliness, food safety, and guest experience standards.
• Support ordering, inventory accuracy, and shrink control.
• Assist in creating schedules and managing labor to meet operational targets.
• Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new team members.
• Provide real‑time coaching, performance feedback, and hold team members accountable.
• Manage bakery operations independently when the BOM is absent.
• Identify operational gaps with BOM and Area leadership and implement solutions.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of leadership experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality operations.
• Strong operational discipline, attention to detail, and ability to perform all bakery roles during peak periods.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
