Assistant Store Manager – Corte Madera

About the role

Beyond Yoga is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for its Corte Madera location. You will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure daily operations run smoothly, drive sales performance, and foster an engaging, inclusive team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily store procedures, payroll, cash handling, and inventory control.
• Support the Store Manager in meeting sales goals and financial targets.
• Open and close the store as a visible service leader and resolve customer concerns positively.
• Analyze performance metrics such as conversion, units per transaction, and sales per hour.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, and retaining store team members.
• Onboard new hires on Beyond Yoga values, product knowledge, and selling culture.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and suggest adaptations when needed.
• Manage product receiving, transfers, price changes, RTVs, and markdowns.
• Educate associates on loss prevention and company policies.
• Coach staff for skill development and handle minor employee relations issues.
• Promote a diverse, inclusive workplace and build community connections through events.

Required profile

• Strong focus on operational excellence and employee engagement.
• Ability to lead by example and provide excellent customer service.
• Experience managing retail processes such as payroll, cash, and inventory.
• Effective communicator who can coach and develop team members.
