About the role

Meijer is seeking an Assistant Store Director to support the daily operations of its Normal, IL store. This leadership position focuses on driving operational excellence, enhancing customer experience, and developing future store leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direction for store operations, processes, and conditions.
• Plan, direct, and supervise the team in day‑to‑day store activities.
• Oversee selection, training, development, and performance management of team members.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve customer service, increase sales, and boost profitability.
• Ensure effective merchandising of products and displays.
• Forecast staffing needs and create recruiting strategies to meet optimal staffing levels.
• Assess financial results and implement business strategies to drive profitability.
