Assistant Softball Coach – Pitching

About the role

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore is seeking a full‑time Assistant Softball Coach focused on pitching. Reporting to the Head Coach, you will help develop a competitive NCAA Division I program while supporting the academic and personal growth of student‑athletes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, scheduling, team organization and supervision of student‑athletes.
• Monitor academic progress and ensure compliance with NCAA and university regulations.
• Order and manage equipment and oversee related logistics.
• Maintain relationships with alumni, community partners and university staff.
• Perform video editing and game preparation tasks as needed.
• Provide oversight to managerial duties and other duties assigned by the Head Coach.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Commitment to NCAA, conference and university compliance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, alumni and the public.
• Willingness to work extended periods standing, bending and lifting up to 25 lb.

Required skills

• Video editing and game preparation.
• Knowledge of scheduling and team organization.
• Experience ordering equipment and overseeing managerial tasks.
