Assistant Site Director – Eagle River & Anchorage

About the role

Camp Fire Alaska is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Site Director to support the Senior Site Director in delivering a high‑quality after‑school program for school‑age youth in Anchorage and Eagle River. You will help create a safe, engaging environment where children can explore arts, sports, games and structured play.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, managing and supervising daily operations of the assigned site.
• Oversee program staff, ensuring age‑appropriate activities and consistent coaching.
• Transport program materials and supplies to sites as needed.
• Maintain required site presence Monday‑Friday, 2 pm‑6 pm, and support flexible shift hours.
• Coordinate with the Senior Site Director to uphold program quality and compliance with licensing regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum age 21.
• Prior leadership and supervisory experience in licensed or accredited school‑age or camp programs.
• Willingness to obtain CPR, AED, First Aid, Food Worker Card, Mandated Reporter and Health & Safety certifications after hire.
• Enrollment in or willingness to complete at least 12 college credits, including 3 credits in early childhood education or a related field.
