Assistant Rackets Pro

About the role

The Assistant Rackets Pro supports the Rackets Director in delivering instruction, clinics, and programming across Pickleball, Padel, and Tennis at Discovery Land Company's Atlantic Fields resort. This role helps create a premium experience for members and guests by teaching fundamentals, leading drills, and ensuring court safety.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in teaching Pickleball, Padel and Tennis fundamentals to students of all levels under the Rackets Director’s guidance.
• Provide private or group lessons for members and guests as assigned.
• Evaluate players’ games to reinforce specific skills and build motivation.
• Develop and lead drills and games that keep instruction fun while advancing technique.
• Support a comprehensive program that includes group coaching, free play, social play, and private lessons for adults and children.
• Help prepare, organize, and deliver monthly social events for each sport.
• Promote the racket sports program and assist in increasing participation.
• Maintain health and safety standards on and off the courts.
• Assist with equipment maintenance, repair, security, and court upkeep.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience as a Pickleball, Padel or Tennis instructor or competitive player.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Previous experience in a luxury resort or private country club preferred.
• Current CPR‑AED certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and varied hours.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and stay calm during busy periods.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Physical ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform standing, walking, and moving tasks.
