Assistant Purchasing Manager

About the role

The Assistant Purchasing Manager will support Four Seasons Hotel and Residences New Orleans by coordinating purchasing, receiving, and storeroom activities. This role ensures that all departments have the supplies they need to deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and work with Receiving and Storeroom teams to document, date, price, and rotate incoming goods according to Four Seasons standards.
• Verify that purchase requests are properly approved and documented before creating purchase orders.
• Contribute to month‑end, quarterly and annual inventory cycles for food, beverage and operating equipment, maintaining optimal stock levels.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable and other cross‑functional teams to resolve billing and invoice discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with all local and corporate procurement policies and internal controls.

Required profile

• Experience in hotel or hospitality purchasing, receiving, or storeroom operations.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, stock rotation and par level maintenance.
• Knowledge of local and corporate procurement policies and internal control procedures.
• Ability to work closely with finance, accounts payable and other internal stakeholders.
