Assistant Project Manager / Project Coordinator

About the role

We are a boutique NYC construction management firm focused on luxury residential, hospitality, and commercial renovations. As an Assistant Project Manager / Project Coordinator you will work directly with our Project Managers and Principals to keep projects organized, schedules tight, and communications flowing.

Key responsibilities

• Document Control: manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, design updates, and close‑out logs.
• Project Support: update master schedules, draft look‑aheads, organize field photos, and assist with procurement and delivery tracking.
• Meeting & Team Coordination: draft clear meeting minutes, maintain action‑item lists, and follow up with subcontractors and vendors on pricing and lead times.
• Process Improvement: follow established workflow guidelines and help refine standard operating procedures as the firm scales.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in construction, architecture, design‑build, or a related field.
• Highly comfortable with modern digital tools, software, and AI‑assisted workflows.
• Exceptional organizational skills, proactive follow‑through, and strong attention to detail.
• High adaptability and genuine interest in construction as a system.
• Bonus: experience with high‑end NYC renovations, DOB processes, or familiarity with AIA billing, estimating, drafting, and visual site documentation (drone/LiDAR).
