Assistant Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of liquid storage tank projects. In this role you will work closely with the Project Manager and construction teams to plan, execute and close projects, gaining hands‑on experience across all phases of construction.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with communication, coordination and detailed project documentation.
• Manage services and new‑construction projects, including pre‑job planning, site inspections and daily monitoring.
• Solicit, evaluate and coordinate subcontractor pricing and relationships.
• Prepare AutoCAD layouts for casting beds and crane positioning, and recommend appropriate equipment based on site conditions.
• Oversee material submittals, approvals and lead‑times in partnership with the Project Coordinator.
• Control project costs through budgeting, invoice review, expense tracking and monthly billing.
• Coordinate crane operations, scheduling and communication with superintendents.
• Travel to job sites for pre‑construction meetings, quality control and safety inspections.
• Support project close‑out activities, documentation review and hand‑over to clients.
• Mentor co‑ops and interns, ensuring productive contributions.

Required skills
